About us

Our main page has moved. Please visit CCSWW.org under Shelters and Homeless Services for more information. Nativity House is a program of Catholic Community Services.

The 22nd Annual Gala Auction information can be found on this page under the NEWS tab or at the CCSWW web page under Nativity House.

On July 1, 2010 Nativity House became a program of Catholic Community Services. Since that time Nativity House has been operating as part of the Homeless Adult Services (HAS) unit of CCS. There are so many ways that we are growing and building on the spirit and work we have been faithfully doing for so many years.

Together with the Hospitality Kitchen (HK) and the Tacoma Avenue Shelter (TAS), Nativity House (NH) plays a critical role in providing a warm, safe, respectful place for our guests around the clock, every day of the year. This continuum allows greater access to services which are more coordinated, effective and compassionate for guests of all three programs. The relationship centered ministry of presence, which NH has provided for more than 33 years, remains the cornerstone of our service philosophy and the foundation of meaningful change in the lives of those we serve.

NH is open Monday, Thursday and Friday from noon until 5pm. Saturday and Sunday and all holidays from 8am until 5pm. On weekdays one meal and a snack is served, on weekends two meals are served. ID cards, bus tickets, rental assistance, toiletries, local and long distance phone calls, a mailing address, and a clothing room are all avaliable to our guests.

To contact NH please call 253.272.5266 or 253.779.9248. Donations are always welcome, especially warm, clean adult clothing and toiletries (soap, shampoo, lotion, razors, deodorant).  Financial gifts are accepted either at NH, by mail or by visiting the CCS web page and clicking on the Nativity House page; CCSWW.org
